From Biosecwiki

Welcome to the FAO Biosecurity Wiki

It is intended as a place for FAO staff, partners and colleagues to share - and search for - materials on Biosecurity in the food chain.

It currently houses presentations, reports, training materials, working documents, images, links, published articles which FAO colleagues have either produced or reviewed and identified as possible useful resources for colleagues and external users interested in risk analysis and biosecurity in the food chain (whether they are producers, buyers, researchers or government officials). The main focus is on Africa given the extent of plant pest and disease problems there, and the level of donor interest in addressing African food security and poverty issues.

The aim is to create a working space to collect outputs from FAO's programme on Biosecurity, and highlight possible synergies, so that the programme can become more than just "the sum of its parts" (different components).

In this release, it is available to colleagues working on Biosecurity to read and modify (e-mail mike.robson@fao.org for an account); it is available all other read only.

FAO's work on Biosecurity is funded thanks to generous contributions from three partnership programmes, notably those of the governments of Netherlands & Norway (through FMPP) and Sweden. See also Biosecurity Resources from Norway PCA. FAO core funding also provides for limited activities through the Interdepartmental Working Group on Biosecurity
