  Cooperation - Interaction - Exchange
Sharing of information focused on plant breeding capacity building, as well as delivery of newly available information and knowledge to breeders, business leaders, consumers, donors, farmers, managers, media agents, policy makers, students, teachers, etc, are key objectives of GIPB. The Plant breeding global forum is a dynamic, continuously evolving component of the GIPB Knowledge Resource Center, designed to promote cooperation, interaction and exchange of information on Plant Breeding and related scientific fields. Participation in GIPB's Plant breeding global forum implies a commitment to Plant Breeding and a shared interest in this field. The platform values collective competences and creates opportunities for breeders and related professionals to interact actively and learn from each other. GIPB's vision is to build relationships that enable professionals from around the world to learn from each other and to develop a shared repertoire of resources: experiences, success cases, processes, tools and ways of addressing common and recurrent problems. This takes time and sustained interaction – and also implementation of processes and incorporation of tools to facilitate communication, interaction and exchange. The Plant breeding global forum will incorporate functionalities targeting: problem solving, information and experience sharing, coordination and synergy, mentoring, discussion of alternatives and approaches to problems, joint formulation of projects, documentation of experiences to be shared, foresight analysis and forward thinking, mapping of knowledge and identification of gaps to the development of Plant Breeding, taking into account global, regional and national perspectives.
